care
The layout of rooms in the care sector is often kept simple and uncluttered for cleaning purposes. There is little furniture and the budget does not usually stretch to sound absorbent wall and floor covering. The standard situation in a room in the care sector is that there is excessive reverberation, as good acoustics is not among the primary requirements set. It is nevertheless essential to the well-being of residents, patients and clients to prevent overstimulation from noise nuisance. This applies not only in communal areas, which often have floor areas of around 80 m2, but also in the individual living rooms and bedrooms. Acosorb has an extensive list of references in the care sector.
